Free Web Hosting Services without Ads.!

Often, people like to host their web pages on a Free Web Hosting server.. It may be because they want to host a personal web page or either they do not want to pay for web hosting.. Whatever the reason may be, people prefer using Free Web Hosting.

But one of the main disadvantages of Free Web Hosting Services is that they always come with ads..! It is very difficult to find premium web hosting services without ads. Even if you do, they limit your disk space or some of the services (like PHP, MySQL support etc.)..

I used to search for free web hosting services but never used to find any.. I know how difficult it is to find one, so to help ya'll I list a few good ones I know..

1.    1.X10 Web Hosting - This is one of my favorites and one among the best free web hostingservices.. There are absolutely NO ADS (except for the 404 error page).. You get about 500 MB of free disk space and free sub domain.. It supports HTML,PHP, ASP.NET, CGI, Perl,MySQLetc.. You also get FTP support and also Webmail with POP3 support..

2.    2.HeliosHost - This is supposed to be one among the best, but the problem is it offers only alimited no of registrations per day.. This too doesn't have any ads.. It offers you about 250 MB free disk space and also a free subdomain.. Compared to x10 web hosting this gives support Ruby and Ruby on rails too.. You also get FTP support and also Webmail with support for unlimited email accounts and also POP3 and IMAP support.

3.   3. HostHelpers - Compared to the others this provides you with 1GB-5GB of free disk space..You have an option to select the free subdomain or the free .WS domain.. This supports PHP, MySQL, CGI/Perl.. You also get POP3 email accounts as well as SMTP support..

4.    4. FreeBeeHosting - FreeBeeHosting is another good free web hosting service but has some limitations.. You get about 600 MB of disk space and free co.cc domain.. This supports only CGI, SSI and PHP.. You can also have a maximum of 2 email accounts..

5.    5. FreeHostin - This web hosting provides almost similar services as HostHelpers.. From disk spaceto support for scripts, almost everything is similar..The only difference is that you get a free CO.CC domain..

These are a few best free web hosting services without ads.. Select the one which bests suits your needs and make the most out of your free web hosting service..

KP's Opinion - If you really want a professional hosting service without ads then x10 hosting and HeliosHost are the best.. The services they offer are really nice.. They also support a wide variety of scripts compared to the others.. You gotta try your luck daily if you want to get a HeliosHost account, as they give away only limited no of accounts daily.. X10hosting doesn't have any such conditions.. I myself have tried X10 hosting.. It's really awesome.. Worth trying..! :)..

Customize Your Google Background

Google has a feature that brings the personalization of Google a notch higher. Now, Google lets you add your favorite photo or image as the background of the Google homepage, replacing the plain white default of Google. Photos can be chosen from your computer, your own Picasa Web Album or a public gallery hosted by Picasa which includes a selection of beautiful photos.

Customizing Google.com with a background image will not slow the search engine's load time.

For those  who want to enjoy the clean, simple look of Google as well as the personalized view, Google made it  easy to switch between the customized search page and classic Google.

Customization is done by clicking the a link in the lower left-hand corner of Google.com that says "Add background image".

Google Sitemaps

Google Sitemaps are XML files that list the URLs available on a site. The aim is to help site owners notify search engines about the URLs on a website that are available for indexing.

Webmasters can include information about each URL, such as when it was last updated and its importance in the context of the site.

A site map (or sitemap) is a list of pages of a web site accessible to crawlers or users. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

While some developers argue that site index is a more appropriately used term to relay page function, web visitors are used to seeing each term and generally associate both as one and the same. However, a site index is often used to mean an A-Z index that provides access to particular content, while a site map provides a general top-down view of the overall site contents.

XML is a document structure and encoding standard used, amongst many other things, as the standard for WebCrawler's to find and parse sitemaps. The instructions to the sitemap are given to the crawler bot by a Robots Text file. Site maps can improve search engine optimization of a site by making sure that all the pages can be found. This is especially important if a site uses a dynamic access to content such as Adobe Flash or JavaScript menus that do not include HTML links.

Google Sitemaps Benefits:
  1. Alert Google to Changes and Additions to your Website Anytime You Want.
  2. Your Website is crawled more efficiently and effectively.
  3. Web Pages are categorized and prioritized exactly How You Want.
  4. Speed up the process of New Website and New Web Page Discovery.
  5. No Waiting and guessing to see when Spiders crawl your web pages.
  6. Google Sitemaps is likely to set the standard for Webpage Submission and Update.
